A night at the Dolomites Cinema – after a hike along the Toblach High Trail, you’ll experience the Dolomites in their most beautiful colours, just before the sun disappears behind the peaks. Alfred at the Bonnerhütte will make your stay with him something truly special: a traditional dinner and the finest local breakfast. The next day, the route continues along the Höhenweg to the Marchkinkele, where you’ll enjoy lunch at the new Marchhütte. This is followed by the descent to Bodeneck, from where the shuttle will take you back to the meeting point.

General information about the hike:

Difficulty level: difficult (mountain hike), good physical condition, sure-footedness, no fear of heights

Start: Wednesday, 9.00 am*

Meeting point: Dobbiaco Tourist Office

Return (the following day): 3.00–4.00 pm

Included services:

Shuttle, hiking guide, overnight stay at the Bonnerhütte with half-board (dinner & breakfast), lunch at the Marchhütte including 1 drink.

Please note: not included:

Drinks at the Bonnerhütte and any extras (shower etc.)

Required equipment: Packed lunch, sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner, towel, warm clothing (hat and gloves – long trousers), walking boots, sun protection, rain and wind protection, water, head torch.

Itinerary:

Shuttle from the meeting point to the starting point.

DAY 1:

6–7 hours’ walking along the Toblach High Trail, including a break for lunch,

sunset, dinner and overnight stay at the Bonnerhütte

DAY 2:

Breakfast and start of the hike (9.00 am) via Pfannhorn to the Marchkinkele and the Marchhütte with lunch (3.5 hours’ walking) . Descent through the Blankental valley (Steinbergalm and Silvesteralm) to the Silvesterkapelle (walking time approx. 3 hours) and from there (Bodeneck) back by taxi (approx. 3.00 pm)

*Good to know! There is the option to start later at 2.00 pm and make your own way to the Bonnerhütte from Kandellen (shuttle or hiking bus). The nature of the tour will be decided together the day before, depending on the participants’ needs. Hiking boots and warm clothing, including a hat and gloves. No shorts! For the overnight stay: sleeping bag liner or sleeping bag, head torch, towel.
